Daniel Whitney, better known as Larry the Cable Guy, has been a name in comedy since the 1990s and rose to fame in the smash hit Blue Collar Tour, with his trademark "redneck" style humour. This was a sell-out, grossing over $15 million, and the subsequent DVD became the highest rated in the history of Comedy Central.
Following this, Larry the Cable Guy and the other Blue Collar Guys got together to make Blue Collar TV, and the laughs have just kept coming.
In 2006 he starred in his own film Larry the Cable Guy: The health inspector, and he was also the voice of Mater the tow truck in the Disney/Pixar smash Cars. His comedy albums Lord, I Apologise, and The Right to Bare Arms were both certified Gold by the RIAA.
