Not only celebrating the glory of God in his own songs, Bill Gaither has also supported and helped to introduce many other notable Christian stars to fans, including Sandi Patty, Steve Green, and Amy Grant.
Bill Gaither has won a host of awards and accolades, including 4 Grammys (as well as 8 nominations), a host of Dove Awards, and the ASCAP Christian "Songwriter of the Century" crown (with Gloria Gaither).
Bill Gaither continues to run sell out shows, and his "Homecoming" tour sold more tickets in 2004 than Elton John, Fleetwood Mac or Rod Stewart. He was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 1982.
