According to the New York Post, smash hit musical Legally Blonde will be broadcast on television in its entirety in a $10 million dollar deal with MTV.
The show will be filmed by MTV later this month and is due to be aired on TV in October in what is a move aimed at the MTV audience – a 15 through 25 demographic shared with the musical’s tween audience.
Legally Blonde tells the story of Elle Woods, a sorority sister that heads off to Harvard in order to win back her boyfriend by being more ‘serious’, but finds out that “being true to yourself never goes out of style”, says the press notes.
