Big news for Jackson 5 fans, new and old: the quintet are reforming for a world tour next year which Michael Jackson is confirmed to be included in.
The massively popular and successful group came to fame with a repertoire that encompassed soul, funk, R&B and disco, producing such hits as 'ABC', 'I Want You Back', and 'I'll Be There'.
Jermaine Jackson has spoken about the forthcoming tour, confirming that "Michael will be involved. We want to tour. We want to touch the lives of everybody who’s bought our records and supported us. It will probably start here first, but it will be sometime in 2008. That’s our plan."
There are also plans for a Jackson 5 musical based on the lives of the group, to be premiered at London's West End, Jermaine revealed. A reality TV show titled Search of the Legends: The Jackson 5 involving X Factor creator Simon Cowell will be used to find new starts to play the Jackson brothers.
Jermaine said to the fans of the upcoming tour: "We feel we have to give you back so much. So that’s why we feel we have to do it one more time. We owe that to the fans and to the public. There have been meetings and talks and we are still in those meetings putting everything back together as well as being back in the studio."
