Singer/songwriter and actress Jennifer Lopez and her Grammy award winning husband Marc Anthony have announced dates for their first tour together; scheduled to take place this fall.
The couple, both 38, plan to play individual sets from their own material, but will also perform together, singing in both English and Spanish.
"Jennifer has never toured," Anthony told interviewers. "I've toured all my life. This is where I can step in and say, 'Oh, my God, this could be fun,' and introduce her to that world. It is something she's always wanted to do, but she's never had the time."
Anthony is about to star on the big screen as salsa legend Hector Lavoe in the biopic "El Cantante," alongside Lopez who plays Lavoe's wife Nilda; the soundtrack to the film was released on July 24 and is Anthony’s ninth studio album.
New-York born Lopez recently released her sixth album; "Como Ama Una Mujer," her first to be produced in Spanish, that topped the Latin Billboard chart and stayed No. 1 for seven consecutive weeks.
Jennifer and Marc have pledged to donate one dollar from every ticket sold to the ING program ‘Run For Something Better;’ a fitness program that aims to reduce childhood obesity by introducing youngsters to the benefits of running, physical fitness, and healthy lifestyles.
"When I was a kid, we spent most of our time outside visiting in the neighborhood with friends. This is the first generation of kids who are so sedentary and the first whose parents might outlive them," said Lopez in a statement.
"We really need to be active in encouraging healthy eating and the joys and fun of exercising."
The tour kicks off September 29 in Atlantic City, N.J, and includes dates in The U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
Tickets go on sale on August 10.
