New Model Army has announced the final dates of their comeback tour which will coincide with a brand new album, High, due for US release on August 21.

The UK punk rock band will be playing a number of warm-up gigs across the globe starting with two back-to-back concerts to be held August 7 and 8 at The Clash Club, Sao Paulo, Brazil.

They then return to the UK for two other warm-up gigs at Hobbits in Somerset on August 17 and at the Beautiful Days Festival at Escot Park in Devon on August 18.

The first leg of the world tour will then begin in the US and is scheduled to run throughout September and October before moving over to Europe for dates across October and November, ending in the UK in Southampton on the 29th.

The band have also announced that they plan a second tour next spring which will stop in the countries and cities that they haven’t been able to squeeze into this year’s line-up.

This world tour will be their first since 2004, the year that also saw the founding band member, Robert Heaton, die from pancreatic cancer.

Despite never having had a top 20 chart hit, The New Model Army has built up millions of fans all over the world. High is going to be their 10th studio release album since they were first formed in the early 1980s.
