The Police current world would tour that began on May 28 in Vancouver, is the nation’s “most requested event” for the first half of 2007, according to Ticketmaster’s middle of year report.
The police ranked number one in terms of online page reviews, information requests and tickets sales on the website of the worlds foremost ticket sales company.
"The Police tour has been a tremendous draw since the tour launched this May," confirmed Sean Moriarty, Ticketmaster President.
The Police split up just after the release of their most successful album Synchronicity in 1984, briefly regrouping afterwards for a handful of concerts in 1986 before breaking up for good.
But in February the trio opened the Grammy’s with lead vocalist Sting announcing; "We are The Police and we are back!"
The tour is set to last all the way through until November this year and sees the band playing a huge number of gigs around the world, including a performance at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, TN on June 16.
