Legendary British band The Cure have announced a month long North American tour for this fall.
The post-punk, goth-rock band that came to fame in the eighties and has become known for such songs as ‘Boys Don’t Cry’, ‘Lovecats’, ‘Just Like Heaven’ and ‘Friday I’m In Love’, has not played in North America since 2004 and so the tour is expected to be received with much enthusiasm by fans.
The Cure have released 12 studio albums over their 30 year career, selling 27 million records worldwide and with another one on the way. The line-up joining main man Robert Smith is made up of original lead guitarist Porl Thompson, long-time bassist Simon Gallup and new drummer Jason Cooper.
The tour will kick off September 9 in Tampa (FL), and will visit 20 cities, wrapping up in Dallas (TX), October 17.
