Former Van Halen front man Sammy Hagar has announced the first set of dates for his upcoming US tour.
The Red Rocker will begin his 60 city tour on September 15 in Phoenix, AZ at the US Airways Center.
He will do one other date in September, on 29 at Novato’s Stafford Lake.
He will then eight dates in October, including Huston, TX and Tulsa OK before going onto Detriot for November 2. The full tour will go on until July 12 2008 when it will close with a big finale show in St Louis.
The shows will be opened by Mad Anthony Express - former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony’s band, who will be playing some early VH tunes along with rock classics.
Hagar’s band Los Tres Gusanos will then take to the stage before the final act – Hagar and Anthony, who will play as The Other Half (of Van Halen) playing VH tunes from the Hagar years.
