Fight night

New York’s Madison Square Garden will be packed out tomorrow night when Zab Judah takes on Miguel Cotto in the WBA welterweight title fight.

Brooklyn boy Judah, down 0-2-1 in his last three fights, is the outsider, despite being at home, because Cotto, with a 29-0 tally and 24 knock outs seems to be unstoppable.

And with fight night falling on the evening of New York’s Puerto Rican day parade, Cotto, who still lives in Caugas, Puerto Rico, is going to feel more at home than his rival.

2007 marks the third year in a row Cotto has fought at Madison Square Garden on the parade night, and has earned plenty of New York fans in the process.

"I think it is the best reception I have received here in all the years," Cotto said of his greeting by The Bronx. "Saturday is going to be great, for me and for the fans," the 26-year-old told ringsidereport.com.

The two fighters have very different styles – both in the ring and out. Cotto is a humble quiet guy who is deliberate with each punch, letting his fists do the talking, whereas Judah has a colorful personality and flashy moves to match so their fight should make for explosive viewing.
