Andrew Lloyd Webber is to start a new TV show to find an unknown star for an upcoming West End version of Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamcoat.

After the success of his How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?, which found a new star for the West End version of The Sound of Music, Webber is now on the look out for a Joseph.

The Oscar, Grammy, Tony, and Emmy Award-winning composer, responsible for staple musicals such as Phantom of the Opera, Cats and Evita, will be aided in the judging process of Any Dream Will Do by popular figures from the UK’s entertainment scene and the show will be presented by Irish comedian and talk show host, Graham Norton.

Amongst the 12 finalists, sourced from the streets of Britain, are students, builders, and office workers, all eager to try their hand at the stage and with hopes of making a career for themselves in the entertainment industry.

Webber wrote the award-winning 1968 musical with Tim Rice when he was just 17. The show is pegged for a July opening on the West End.
