Avenue Q – the 2004 Tony Award winner for Best Musical – will be setting of on a national tour in August.
Avenue Q tells the story of Princeton, a graduate who moves to New York City where, with his friends from Avenue Q, he struggles to find jobs, dates and an ever-elusive purpose in life, in a show that The New Yorker has called “The show of the year!”
The tour is due to last through to July 2008, and a casting notice has revealed that the search is on for players for the puppet-people multi-award winning musical.
Since its debut in 2003, the show has been met with huge acclaim from critics and audiences alike and is now in its fourth year on Broadway.
