Kevin Spacey – currently on Broadway in A Moon for the Misbegotten and artistic director for London’s Old Vic theater – has announced his plans for the new season.

Forthcoming productions include a stage adaptation of Pedro Almodovar’s film All About My Mother, a new production of Memet’s Speed-The –Plow (starring himself) and a Christmas pantomime version of Cinderella, written by famous Brit actor, author and comedian Stephen Fry.

All About My Mother - an adaptation by Samuel Adamson of the Oscar-winning film – will officially open at The Old Vic on September 4; casting has yet to be announced, but direction will be by Tom Cairns.

Fry will offer a new version of Cinderalla for the Christmas period, which opens December 9 after previews from December 4.

January 2008 will see the Old Vic’s own artistic director return to its stage for Speed-The-Plow, in the role of film producer Bobby Gould, and Sam Mendes will direct a Shakespeare double bill of Hamlet and The Tempest for next May.
