The Cincinnati Red Legs have a history dating back to the start of professional baseball. Founded in 1866 and starting professional play in 1869, the Red Legs were fhe first professional baseball franchise.
The team have won a number of trophies and plaudits over their history, including five World Series and four National League Pennants as of 2006. The Cincinnati Red Legs’ current home is the Great American Ball Park, having moved there in 2003.
The Reds play in the Central Division of the National League. Some notable players of the Red Legs’ past include Edd Roush, Ernie Lombardi, Ted Kluszewski, Johnny Bench and Joe Morgan.
