The Houston Astros play home games out of the Astrodome in Houston, Texas. The stadium was opened in 2002, with seating capacity for more than 41,000 fans.
The Astros compete in the Central Division of the National League, and were recent champions of the league. The team played in the World Series for the first time in 2005. This was also the first time a team from Texas had taken part in the Series.
Other previous landmarks and trophies include four Central Division titles and two West Division Titles, as of 2006.
