The Milwaukee Brewers were established in 1969, under the original name of the Seattle Pilots. The Brewers played in the American League initially before their move to the National League in 1997.
The Seattle Pilots moved to Milwaukee for the 1970 season, and adopted their new name at that time. The team now play at Miller Park in Milwaukee, following the completion of the stadium in 1997.
The Brewers have had many periods of success in their history, including a number of seasons in the 1970s and 1980s were they posted among the best records in the American League.
