The Oakland Athletics are based out of the McAfee Coliseum, with a home seating capacity of more than 33,000 fans. The team was originally established in 1901, and moved between Philadelphia and Kansas City before finally settling in Oakland.
The team has been dominant in many eras, winning three straight American League penants and two World Series in the 1929-1931 seasons. Given this was during the Babe Ruth years of the New York Yankess, it becomes an even more remarkable achievement.
The Oakland Athletics have also had many other periods of success throughout their history. Awards include numerous World Series, American League pennants and West Division titles, with a highlight the Athletics vs Giants World Series win in 1989.
