The San Diego Toreros compete in the West Coast Conference of NCAA Division I. The name Toreros is Spanish in origin, where it means "Bullfighters", with the mascot of the team reflecting this.
The Toreros are based out of the Jenny Craig Pavilion in San Diego, California. The arena has a capacity of more than 5,000 and is named after the entrepreneur Jenny Craig. Home fixtures draw crowds of students, alumni and fans from the surrounding area.
