The Charlotte Bobcats are one of the newest expansion teams in the NBA, having been created following the movement of the Hornets franchise to New Orleans. Due to their young age, having only been established for the 2004-05 season, the Bobcats have yet to win a major title or reach the playoffs. Despite this, there is much hope for the future among Bobcats fans, with the team enjoying strong support among Charlotte locals.
The Charlotte Bobcats are based out of the appropriately named Charlotte Bobcats Arena, which was built specifically for the new NBA franchise. With the team playing in the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference, the arena hosts facilities including seating for up to 19,000 fans, dining, premium seating and suites.
The Bobcats’ current strip features a bobcat head in orange against a silver and blue basketball. Due to the franchises young age, it has yet to retire any numbers or see any players promoted to the Basketball Hall of Fame.
