Originally named the Denver Rockets when they were established in 1967, the team first played in the American Basketball Association. Following the collapse of the ABA, the franchise joined the NBA under the new name of the Denver Nuggets in 1976. The Nuggets have since won five Division titles in the NBA and reached the play-offs more than sixteen times.
Playing out of the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado, the Nuggets enjoy facilities including dining, premium suites and seating for up to 19,100 fans. The new home has seen successes that include their 2006 Division title and a number of play-offs.
The Denver Nuggets have also had three members admitted to the Basketball Hall of Fame, and have retired five numbers in honour of past contributors. They have had many periods of success throughout their history, with fans expecting many more in the coming seasons.
