Founded in 1968 as an expansion team, the Phoenix Suns have remained true to their name and city for their entire history. The team has won two Conference titles and five Division titles in its playing career, with a long run of over twenty-five play-offs. The Phoenix Suns have challenged for the NBA Championship on two separate occasions, and still pursue that eventual goal with great dedication and commitment.
Based out of the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona, the Suns are able to enjoy facilities including dining, restaurants, premium suites and seating for up to 18,500 fans. Their new arena has seen a number of their recent triumphs, including the 1992-93 NBA Championship games against the Chicago Bulls.
The Phoenix Suns’ distinguished playing history has seen three of their members admitted to the Basketball Hall of Fame, and more than ten numbers retired in honour of past contributors. With the recent 2004-05 and 2005-6 campaigns showing a resurgence of past successes, both fans and players greatly anticipate the Phoenix Suns coming seasons.
