The Toronto Raptors have excelled in both play and support since joining the Eastern Atlantic Division of the NBA in 1995. They are one of the only Canadian teams to play in the NBA since the 1950s. Located out of the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, the Raptors enjoy an arena with seating for over 19,800 fans and facilities that include restaurants, catering and over 150 suites.
The Raptors franchise was first established in its Toronto base, with the only move the team have made from their original Skydome arena to the new Air Canada city. Due to the relatively young age of the franchise, the Toronto Raptors have yet to add any players or coaches to the Basketball Hall of Fame. Fans’ expectations over recent seasons however suggest that such an accomplishment may not be far away.Recent history of the Raptors has shown them begin to establish themselves after a number of rocky seasons following the decision to join the NBA. One of their best seasons to date was the 2000-2001 season, where they achieved a score of 47-35 and reached the Eastern Conference semi-finals.
