Arena football side the Las Vegas Gladiators played their first season in the AFL in 1997 when they were known as the New Jersey Red Dogs.
The Red Dogs were sold in 2001 and became the New Jersey Gladiators, and then in 2003, relocated to the T&M Center in Las Vegas. They played there until 2007 when they moved stadiums to the Orleans Arena, which has a smaller capacity than T&M, where they receive warm support from fans and of course trusty mascot Thraxx the lion.
