The Dallas Cowboys began playing in the NFL in the 1960 season as an expansion team. One of the wealthiest teams in the NFL, the Dallas Cowboys are also one of the most successful and have brought home trophies that include six Super Bowls, ten Conference Championships and eighteen Division Championships. In total, they have participated in over one quarter of all the Super Bowl games held.
Based out of the Texas Stadium since 1971, the Cowboys currently enjoy seating capacities for up to 65,000 fans. The Cowboys plan to move to a new stadium near Arlington, Texas, for 2009, with building yet to be completed.
The Dallas Cowboys have had nine previous members inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and have named seventeen past contributors in the Cowboys Ring of Honor.
