Established as an NFL expansion team in 1925, the New York Giants have gone on to win fourteen Division Championships, nine Conference Championships and made over seventeen play-off appearances as of 2006. The team has also collected two Super Bowl trophies, having won four NFL Championships before the Super Bowl was introduced.
Based out of the Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the Giants are able to benefit from facilities including a home seating capacity of up to 80,000 fans. The Giants’ stadium also provides a venue for two other sporting teams.
The New York Giants’ playing history has seen more than sixteen of their members inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and eleven numbers retired in honour of former contributors.
