The Alaska Nanooks are the college hockey side from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
The name is taken from the Inupiaq "nanuq" which means Polar Bear, which is the team’s slogan. The Alaska Naooks hockey side play at the 4,500 capacity Carlson Center where they compete in the NCAA Division I level and are in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association conference.
Although the Nanooks have never won the CCHA championship, they are a strong side, and will be looking to pull out all the stops this season. For your chance to see them on the ice, get your Alaska Naooks tickets today.
