The New Hampshire Wildcats women’s and men’s ice hockey sides both play in the American hockey East conference of NCAA’s Division I and both have impressive wins records.
The men are five time regular season champs, and two time Hockey East Champions in 2003 and 2003. the women have the same record taking the regular season five times, an being crowned Hockey East Champions twice in 2006 and 2007.
Both sides used to play in ECAC the men were regular season champions in 1974 and ECAC championships in 1979, and the women were ECAC champions five times in 1986, ’87,’90,91 and ’96, and took the coveted NCAA prize in 1998.
Both sides play at the Whittemore Center, which can seat 6,500 fans, where they are always supported by fellow students and the team mascot, Wild E Cat.
