Playing home games at the Von Braun Center, which has a massive 6,800 capacity, the UAH Chargers are popular with students, having won the NCAA Division II national championship in 1996 and 1998.
The UAH Chargers now compete in the NCAA Division I as a member of College Hockey America, where they take on Bemidji State University, Mercyhurst College, Niagara University, Robert Morris University and Wayne State.
