Bull riders are evaluated based upon the aptitude they display in controlling and maneuvering their 2,000-pound opponents. The total score possible for a bull ride is 100 points. Half the ride is determined by the rider's ability to match moves with the bull beneath him, while the other half of the score is based on the performance of the bull and how difficult he is to ride. Some of the top bull riders often get results in the 90s for their performance.
