Fútbol Club Dallas, or FC Dallas as they are known, are Texas' professional soccer side.
FC Dallas are in Major League Soccer and play Chivas USA, the Colorado Rapids, Houston Dynamo, Los Angeles Galaxy and Real Salt Lake in the Western Conference.
As well as competing for the MLS Cup, and the US Open Cup, which they won in 1997, FC Dallas also competes for the Brimstone Cup. The Brimstone Cup is a series, that began in 2001, between FC Dallas and their rivals Chicago Fire and is awarded to the club with the most points at the end of the MLS season.
Originally known as Dallas Burn, and playing home games at the local High School stadium, the club celebrated moving to its own ground, Pizza Hut Park by changing its name to a more soccer-fitting one - FC Dallas.
