Riverdance first appeared as a 7-minute interlude in 1994's Eurovision Song Contest. The full show premiered in Dublin the following year, before moving to the USA for a sell-out run. Riverdance has brought fame to dancers including Michael Flatley and Jean Butler, and today is performed throughout the world.
