12 Angry Men is a taut, claustrophobic thriller which has been described as "the greatest courtroom drama of all time". 12 jurors are thrust into a stuffy room, their task to decide the fate of a young boy accused of killing his father. On first inspection, the evidence suggests an open-and-shut case. But Juror no. 8 isn't so sure – and his attempt to convince the others that a 'reasonable doubt' exists brings prejudice and resentment to the surface in a series of explosive confrontations. This unmissable drama explores the battle between head and heart that accompanies every decision we make. Expect an evening of nail-biting tension as a stellar cast present a play that’s riveted audiences for more than 5 decades.
The current version of 12 Angry Men is adapted from the 1954 teleplay of the same name by Reginald Rose. The play was also made into an award-winning film starring Henry Fonda in 1957.
