Tired of life in the dusty Midwest, Natalie dreams of hitting the road. When a leather-jacketed stranger arrives in town, it seems her wish has been granted. But Chad is a man with a past. And, to stop it catching up with him, he only travels with other men. In a hilarious plot inspired by Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, Natalie is determined that her sex won't stand in her way – even if it means travelling in disguise.
This exuberant show uses classic Presley songs including "Heartbreak Hotel" and "Love Me Tender" to illustrate the magical effect of rock and roll on one small town. A stunning set design takes audiences straight to the heart of the 1950s, and is sure to delight fans old and new.
All Shook up was written by Joe DiPietro, and opened at Broadway's Palace Theatre in March 2005. The show has been highly commended for its acting and stagecraft, and won Drama Desk and Theatre World awards.
