Named as the 'best sports city in the United States" by The Sporting News in 2006, Chicago has 15 sports teams, all of which play within the city limits.
Two major league baseball teams call Chicago home, and they are big rivals – the White Sox, who have won the World Series on three occasions and play at Cellular Field in the south of the city, and two-time World Series champions, the Chicago Cubs, who play at the world famous Wrigley Field in the north.
The Chicago Bulls basketball team are one of the best known in the world thanks to their most famous player – Michael Jordan- who helped them win six NBA titles in the 1990s. The Blackhawks are Chicago's NHL team, and the football team, the Chicago Bears have won nine American Football championships.
Chicago is also well known for its music, theater and comedy, and in 2000, Broadway in Chicago was created, where original Broadway shows are brought to come of Chicago's theater houses, mainly LaSalle Back Theatre, the Ford Center of Performing Arts and the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University.
