Kansas City is famous for being the home of motor racing. The Kansas Speedway, is a 1-1/2 mile tri-oval track, and holds some of the biggest races in the sport including the NASCAR Nextel Cup, the Busch Series, the Craftsman Truck Series, Indy Racing League, ARCA RE/MAX Series and many more.
Speedway is Kansas' main sport, although the city is also home to three successful major league teams – NFL side, The Kansas City Chiefs, who play at the Arrowhead Stadium won the Super Bowl in 1969 and MLB side, The Kansas City Royals were World Series Champions in 1985 and play their home games at the Kauffman Stadium. Kansas' Major League Soccer team, the Kansas City Wizards, won the MLS cup in 2000 and the US Open Cup in 2004.
