Las Vegas is home to a whole host of cultural, music and sporting events that has given it the reputation of being the Entertainment Capital of the World.
The original Sin City is perhaps most famous for its abundance of casinos, like the world famous Caesar's Palace, where you can hedge your bets and live life on the edge, but there is a lot more to it than just gambling. As one of the largest cities in the country, Vegas hosts all the biggest musical acts and theatrical events, making it the Broadway of the West, as is the native home of such huge stars as The Killers.
Bands, musicals and plays appear in the many venues in the city that never sleeps, such as The House of Blues, The Mirage Theatre, Le Reve Theatre, and the Riviera Hotel and Casino. Due to its loose gambling laws, Las Vegas does not have any professional major-league sports teams, but it is home to carious games and amateur teams.
The Gladiators are in the Arena Football League, and the Las Vegas Showgirlz take on the opposition in the WPFL. Vegas is also home to the NCAA Las Vegas Bowl. It also has the Las Vegas Motor Speedway which hosts NASCAR and other auto events. This thrilling and dazzling city is one of the most exciting places in the country and not one to be missed.
