San Diego has many attractions, ranging from cultural happenings and impressive architecture to sporting events. The Qualcomm Stadium seats 70,000 people and is host to all the biggest musical acts and sports such as Supercross, football and soccer and also boasts numerous clubs and restaurants.
San Diego has two major league sports sides - MLB team the San Diego Padres, who play at PETCP Park and the San Diego Chargers who are in the NFL. The Chargers, who have won 12 divisional championships, an AFL championship and one Conference title, always bring in big crowds at their home venue, Qualcomm stadium. San Diego also has a popular college sport culture, thanks to the city's two universities. The University of San Diego has a basketball team called the San Diego Toreros and San Diego State University has the San Diego State Aztecs' college basketball and football teams.
One of the nation’s largest cultural centers, Balboa Park, is to be found in San Diego, which features multiple museums, performing arts venues, including the Civic Theatre that are home to plays, musicals and concerts, and a zoo, all set in beautiful gardens. The San Diego Opera has been voted one of the top 10 opera companies in the US, and can be experienced at the Civic Center Plaza.
